10 days to marathon thoughts...

10 days to go to Rotterdam Marathon 2019… But maybe for you it’s another marathon at another time… 

But anyway, with 10 days to go, it’s time to think about many things, but it’s also time to be grateful, to trust yourself, and to get rest.

It’s time to be GRATEFUL : grateful for the support and the patience of your lover, grateful for simply being able to run, grateful that your worst concern is to know of you’ll be able to achieve your sub 3.30 dream goal, grateful simply to be healthy enough to start a 5th marathon.

Gratitude, it’s the less hard, but you must never never forget it…

It’s time to TRUST yourself : trust yourself above all, trust the training plan, trust slowness to get speed, trust all these works-outs and km/mi through the winter, trust your experience that know the harshness of this distance and the happiness it can give, trust that all will keep going smooth in the last 10 days, time to silent your fears and anxiety, and make them courage and strength…

Trust is hard, but essential…

It’s time do GET REST : lighten the training, try to eat good and well, try to sleep better, try to reduce drinks with friends and beer hydratation…

And that’s the hardest, isn’t it?…
