Schaffhausen, the capital of the country's most northerly canton, is bathed by the Rhine. You'll cruise along its peaceful banks, before admiring the roar of the Rhine Falls.
This tour takes you through the charming old town, and in particular the astonishing Munot, a circular fortress that has dominated the town for over 400 years. Every evening at 9pm, from the top of the tower, and since 1589, the guardian rings the famous little bell for five minutes by hand.
