Explore the Tiergarten Park

Originally an exclusive hunting reserve for monarchs, the large Tiergarten Park was opened to the public by King Frederick I, and the zoo even moved there. Completely rebuilt after the war, this immense 210-hectare green space has retained its wild aspect, and although it is located in the heart of the city, it is home to many animals, notably wild boar, and the city has hired hunters to regulate their proliferation. Be prepared to sprint if you come across one (but don't worry, it's highly unlikely)...

With its many small lakes, you'll think you're in the middle of a forest. But the urbirun itinerary will not fail to show you the essentials, such as the Victory Column, the Rose Garden, the House of World Cultures, and we're sure you will enjoy the section on the banks of the Spree, which will take you up to the government district with its bold architecture, and of course, the Reichstag.
